We bring all textile donations to the TEXTLHAFEN first. Here, our sorters work tirelessly to check and sort your donations.

Everything that meets the needs of homeless people (seasonal, clean, functional, muted colours) is given to our clothing distribution for homeless and needy people on the premises of the Berliner Stadtmission in Lehrter Strasse.

Items that do not meet the requirements of the clothing store but are clean and intact will be sold in our second hand shops. The proceeds are used to finance our social projects.

Items that are not suitable for use in the clothing store or for sale in the second hand shops due to damage or signs of wear - but which are suitable for textile upcycling due to their high material quality - end up in our material pool for sale. 

Please pass on children's toys and clothing to other organisations.

If they are dirty or broken or do not meet our needs, please do not donate this items to us.

Items which we cannot hand out or sell result in high waste disposal costs for us! There are BSR recycling centres throughout the city for this purpose.
